About Allabroad Instructors

Dave Punch (Principal)

Background
Dave is way ahead of the game in all sorts of subjects such as boat electronics, engines and systems. He gets fantastic feedback on all his practical and theory courses and is well liked by all students.
As you will see from his list of qualifications, he’s ridiculously overqualified! If it wasn’t for the fact that his qualifications are all sea-based, we’d be a bit concerned that he might leave and get a job at NASA.

Nick
Nick

Nick is a seriously talented instructor, good at at adjusting to different needs amongst the students. Awesome guy.

Whole experience was above and beyond what I expected.

Tom, December 2010

Background
Nick completed his Fast Track to Yachtmaster Offshore Sail and Power with Allabroad in early 2010. He loved it so much he wanted to stay, and we simply wouldn’t let him leave without him passing on his enthusiasm for all things on-the-water too! Before this he was an aircraft engineer and electrician. A people person who always enjoy meeting and inter-acting with new clients and taking them somewhere they haven’t been to before. Loves being on the water and loves instructing. After all the high seas is the ultimate office to work in!
Qualifications
RYA Yachtmaster Instructor (Sail)
RYA MCA Yachtmaster Offshore (Power)

Nick was a really great instructor. He was so patient and he explained everything so well. He also tailored everything to cover the fact that all of us were at totally different levels, and he gave each of us time and attention as needed. We really couldn’t have had a better instructor! He basically kept pushing us (in a nice way) out of our comfort zones every day. Dreadful toast maker though!! ;o) but really his enthusiasm made me really take to sailing, and I hope to keep it up now.

Catherine, October 2010

Sailing Time
Over 4000m cruising miles and many, many miles racing his jetski in UK waters.
Instructing Time
Just under a year

Did your experience with Allabroad last week meet your expectations?

Absolutely and much more. The exercises Nick did with us in Smir, getting into a berth backward, forward and sideways was so helpful. And then putting this into practice the next days, springing off the stern, and berthing made it all come alive. The exercises on the final day were also so good. And the sailing was awesome.
