About STCW 95
The Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping 1995 (STCW 95) endorsement permits working internationally on any vessel. This endorsement requires that the recipient passes four Basic Safety Training courses: Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, Elementary First Aid, Personal Survival Techniques, and Personal Safety and Social Responsibility.
For the sake of safety and simplicity, Allabroad advises anyone requiring a commercial endorsement to undertake the STCW 95 courses, thereby attaining a level of commercial endorsement that is valid in nearly all international waters.
The STCW 95 Basic Safety training modules can be attended over five days or individual elements can be attended one at a time, as required.
