RYA Day Skipper Motor
RYA Day Skipper Motor on board a prestige 46 for those who would like to learn on a slightly larger vessel than the average training boat. This is a perfect course if you wish to skipper a motor yacht with friends and family, or use commercially. During your time with us you will learn how to safely handle a powerful 15m Prestige motor yacht. There are 2 course options for RYA Day Skipper motor outlined below:
RYA Day Skipper Practical
If you have successfully completed the RYA Day Skipper theory you can complete your Day Skipper Motor with the 4 day practical course.

RYA Day Skipper Express
However, if you do not have your theory, no problem, you can achieve both the theory and practical during the 8 day Express course.

- 8 Day Course
Course Details
During your Day Skipper motor training, you will build your navigational knowledge to enable you to plan, and execute a safe passage by day. You will also learn about the onboard safety equipment, how to check the engines and other boat systems.
Location
We have a great location in Gibraltar - the shore based facility and fleet are only a few minutes walk from Gibraltar airport, right in the heart of the magnificent Ocean Village resort. Once at sea we have the fabulous sheltered Gibraltar bay with views across to North Africa and Spain, and numerous marinas within an hours cruise. With lots of flights to Gibraltar airport, only 5 minutes away from our offices, and only a short distance from Malaga traveling to Allabroad is stress free and economical.
Course Dates:
The Practical only courses start Monday every week, and the Express courses start Saturday every week. We offer the RYA Day Skipper Motor courses throughout the year so please contact us to check availability.
What’s Included:
The first question we are always asked “is fuel included” and the answer is a definite yes, together with mooring fees – so no large bills at the end of your week. We also include a light lunch for each day at sea along with soft drinks and tea and coffee. the course is nonresidential so you can enjoy the comforts of home, a hotel or apartment onshore.
