Our office staff will provide you with any further information you may require and help you to book the correct course for your level.

ICC 3 day course and assessment suggested pre-course experience:

None required but ideally some experience is preferred
1 day assessment: Knowledge of navigation theory, collision regulations, boat handling MOB's etc.

Price for 1 day ICC assessment: £ 250.00 (Masterclass option £395.00)
Price for 3 day course and assessment: £ 720.00 (Masterclass option £1200.00)

Includes: lunches, fuel, personal safety gear, berthing.

Modern Jeanneau power boat capable of 28 Knots fitted with 2 x 380hp Volvo Penta turbo + supercharged diesel engines. Plenty of sumptuous cream leather and walnut above. Do your courses in style.

RYA ICC motor Other equipment includes: 12cd Auto-changer with outdoor speakers, Chart Plotter, radar, MARPA, GPS Microwave, and most important, a massive fridge. Learning should be fun and enjoyable and that's exactly what this boat was made for.

Own boat tuition is available for all Motor Courses including theory for more information contact Allabroad.

Helmsman Practical 2 Days (Beginners).

This is tailored to suit anyone who is just starting out in power boating and is essential if you are thinking of investing in a power boat to get some of the more basic skills under your belt.
It is a two day course and includes lunch each day.

Accommodation is not included but reasonable accommodation can be provided, if required.

ICC 1 Day Assessment.

This is a minimum legal requirement in all marinas in Europe you need ICC and they are clamping down!
If you have all the skills and just need the test then you only need the 1 day assessment.

ICC 3 day course and assessment.

This is a minimum legal requirement in all marinas in Europe you Need ICC and they are clamping down!
The course involves sufficient training to pass the ICC assessment and covers berthing, man overboard recovery. Day skipper Theory 5 days.
Navigation, tides, and safety and more, this course is required before day skipper practical.
Accommodation is not included but reasonable accommodation can be provided if required.
Lunch is provided each day.

1250 miles, two passages over 60 miles and the exam fees.

If you already have over 1000 miles on power boats then the cost to convert would reduce to
£ 2300.00 On a Jeanneau prestige in warm and sunny tidal waters all year round.

To be a yacht skipper requires more than just sailing skills.
A yacht should be happy and pleasant experience for everyone on board.
The captain Bligh days are long gone.

A good skipper will never shout at the crew.
If everything is explained properly by the skipper beforehand then everyone will know what to do and everything will run smoothly.
A skipper that shouts is usually covering up a lack of communication skills and possibly poor yacht handling skills.
