Plus with the addition of the STCW endorsement, which comes as standard in our full package, your Yachtmaster Offshore has a wider acceptance outside of British waters, on a wider range of flagged vessels and gives you a wider variety of employment opportunities including Superyachts for example. Without the STCW endorsment some maritime authorities outside of British waters may not accept your certification for commercial use.
We’ve been running Fast Track sailing courses for 16 years now and this is the expertise that you are buying into. We take our responsibility to you personally and do adapt the course to the group and also your individual changing training needs. We understand that sometimes exam nerves can get the better of even the strongest of candidates, and not everyone is ready in 15 weeks, some do need a little longer. With Allabroad we offer up to three additional weeks training at no extra charge. The full 15 week course qualifies for this extra training guarantee and also the 14 week course where the STCW commercial element is not required for the pure leisure sailor for example.
Time and money investment takes consideration
We do appreciate fully that committing to this course is not only a big investment in your time, which is most valuable since it can never be replaced, but also it’s a big investment in funds too. We’ve always made our pricing competitive in terms of the package and also that it really is fully inclusive of all the elements you need to be a Commercial Yachtmaster Offshore and a great deal more too. We are open and upfront that you will need to bring spending money for your personal entertainment ashore and also your personal laundry requirements.
We ask that a deposit is secured of £950 and then the balance is to be received by the end of the second week of your course. We’ve done this to change industry standards and stop other clients being ‘locked into’ unsuitable providers who’ve got them tied in with full payments months before and the reality of the actual facilities doesn’t meet the online portrayal for example. We welcome you to come and tour the facilities and meet the team and current crews at any time. We are open seven days a week so drop by to reception when it suits.
Fast Track Course Schedule:
1800 start on the first Sunday. A full schedule is given in the first week, which follows our trusted framework of activities mixing between shore-based events, distance sailing and honing fine skills on skills and drills development weeks. This is a full time course; it is not a walk in the park but it is fun too. You will look back on this adventure and achievement as one of the best things you’ve done, seriously we have had many clients testify to this statement over the last sixteen years. You will have on average a day off per week, sometimes a full free weekend and sometimes you’ll be exploring another country stopping off on route to explore ashore. Fast Track Yachtmaster Blog Jan 2017 gives a really good insight into the course with a week by week account of the course run in January 2017.
