We find that a lot of students prefer to study RYA Day Skipper Theory online rather than in the classroom (eg: As part of Allabroad’s 9-day Day Skipper Express) because it allows you to set your own pace and fit around other work/life commitments. You can study at your own pace, in the comfort of your home, at work, or even when away on business.

Unlike other online courses, we offer immediate feedback to questions: there’s no waiting for an instructor to reply to an email or telephone call and certainly no delays in posting your answers for marking.

Everything is instant. You will have your own personal Yachtmaster Instructor who will monitor your progress through the course and provide additional feedback and encouragement. They will reply personally to your emails and will call you to offer support if you request it.

You have six months to complete the course, with an option to extend once, for a further six months, for a small admin fee.

Putting your Certification into use..

Once you’ve completed your Day Skipper Theory, you are ready to undertake the RYA Day Skipper Practical.

We operate Day Skipper sailing courses throughout the year here in Gibraltar, giving you access to the best sailing training experiences available. Everyday is a sailing day and most of those days have favourable winds and warm conditions. Plus you’ll have the opportunity to try every style of berthing from coming alongside to tricky Mediterranean mooring, which is commonly required for those planning on bareboat chartering or flotilla holidays in the Mediterranean.
