We do not often need to recruit to add to our team since team members choose to stay with us for many years; mostly due to our focus on high standards and a quality experience – plus we are warm and tidal here. We are however expanding and thus would like to add to our team now, with the view to setting a continual personal development plan to see the right people progress through the instructional ranks and also to develop across other instructions disciplines too. The roles listed below can be combined with a multi skilled person, which gives depth and balance to your instruction repertoire with the variety of activities keeping everything fresh.

For these positions we require you to be in date for all endorsements and to also have your STCW Basic Safety Training (this can be arranged with us if you do not already hold it). Medical will be the ENG1 and currently in date too. The ideal candidate will naturally really enjoy seeing people achieve their on the water goals and enthusiastically teach people to high levels of RYA course achievement whilst delivering a memorable holiday and learning experience. For Cruising Instructors we set a plan of development to see you ready for your Yachtmaster Instructor course within 12 to 18 months of working with us, you will have regular peer reviews and opportunities to prepare for your YMI by shadowing senior instructors as part of your CPD plan.

To apply you must hold a current Powerboat Instructor with valid commercial endorsement and valid ENG1 medical. Advance or Intermediate Powerboat Instructors would also be welcome to apply and advance courses will be set to keep the role interesting and varied. You should really enjoy delivering Powerboat courses to a variety of people and really love meeting new people and delivering a fun but effective learning experience. The position can be a full time or part time one if other skills are also available. The ideal mix for this candidate would be that they are also a shore based instructor to deliver our Express Day Skipper classroom courses alongside our current instructor, or someone who would be interested in becoming a shore based instructor.

The ideal candidate for this will be a qualified Yachtmaster Offshore Sail with valid commercial endorsement, full STCW Basic Safety Training (this can be arranged with us if you do not already hold it). Medical will be the ENG1 and currently in date. You must have a strong client service background to deliver exceptional experience sails and weekend adventure experiences for short-term guests. It may suit a candidate who is also a RYA Cruising Instructor Sail or wishing to achieve this level this year. The role is primarily taking charge of a single vessel for short sails and promoting longer courses once guests have bitten the sailing bug. It would suit a very chatty person who loves to meet new people regularly. You will be fully responsible for the set up, cleaning and operation on your appointed vessel and liaising with the local establishments who send guests for the sailing experiences.

The ideal candidate for this will be a qualified Yachtmaster Offshore Motor with valid commercial endorsement, STCW Basic Safety Training (this can be arranged with us if you do not already hold it). Medical will be the ENG1 and currently in date too. You must have larger yacht experience, or at least a similar size yacht to ours, which is a Jeanneau Prestige 46, and have a strong client service background to deliver exceptional day cruising experiences for short-term guests. It would suit a candidate who is also a RYA Cruising Instructor Motor or wishing to achieve this level this year. Equally it would suit a Yachtmaster Instructor Motor who wishes to balance fun charter events with the out of season Yachtmaster Training for an all year round opportunity.
